    1. All I could think of after reading this book was that it was hours wasted that I will never get back. The premise is familiar (serial killer and the spunky heroine/heroic cops) but handled fairly well. The author had some interesting things to say about the links between sexual abuse of children and sexual/emotional/mental dysfunction in adults. The characters were well-drawn and the author was very good at keeping the "who's the killer" clues evenly spread among all the suspects. So why 1 star? [...]

    2. In the UK this was called 'Bleeding Hearts'.A great book, slightly predictable when it came to the end, but great nonetheless.

    3. It's okay. But not great. The book tends to stay in the head of the protagonist, Romeo's next victim Sarah, for most of it and seems much more about her confronting her past trauma than about her escaping from a serial killer. Sarah's overdeveloped and every other character is pushed to the sidelines because of this.Figured out the twist about sixty pages from the end. And there's some actions at the climax that doesn't make sense and make the end a bit crap because of it.I think she should've r [...]

Peccato.

    6. Well this was one hell of ride with a very standard and guessable ending. Actually I could tell how this book will end since the 2nd chapter. Other than that, nothing was as it seemed. It's amazing how paranoid the main heroine and the reader can become, while guessing who is the killer. No one is save (not even poor trans-gender woman). While all the evidence would link to one person, doubt is subtly thrown in to mess with your head and your believes. I salute the author for such aptly crafted [...]

    7. I picked up this book when my love for reading was fresh when I wanted to get my hands on anything granted not much has changed in that respect but I think I would have been better off reading it in my current state of mind than when I actually did. This book was my gateway drug into the murder mystery shows like Bones and Castle that I watch today. However despite how well it was written I could not handle the sick twisted elements involving incest and asphyxiation. I can see why this book was [...]

    8. This was a slightly better than run-of-the-mill who done it. It had a lot of psychological insight. The woman who gets murdered at the very beginning, Melanie Rosen, is a psychiatrist, as was her father before her. Her ex-husband, Dennison (one of at least 7 possible suspects), is also a shrink. One of the other suspects (although not a particularly serious one) is also a psychiatrist. The book runs to 435 pages, and I made a guess as to who Romeo was somewhere between pp. 350-370. I lucked out [...]

    9. Oh my goodness. This one is awesome. Kinky sex, erotica, an interesting sexual psychopath, strong female characters, psychological suspense and just plain good description, dialogue, and plotting. I went to bed way too late! I'll be looking for more by Ms. Title even though I'm only 50 pages in. This is what the genre should be. It's sort of like Nicci French/Nicci Gerard with more erotica.I was searching for more by Ms. Title, and I only see one other book that doesn't look like a Harlequin! I [...]

    10. This was a strange book for me as there were a lot of things I didn't like but I'll admit it kept me interested until the end. The author did a good job of keeping you guessing and there was enough suspense to make you keep reading. However, the ending was a big letdown as was the eventual unveiling of the killer. The author also needs to work on making at least some of her characters likable. Sarah, the main protagonist was indeed psychologically screwed up but she was also a jerk. The two cops [...]

    11. the book is a classic suspenseful and sensual story. with a killer out for love and blood. a woman out for answers, knowing that she could no longer run away. and a possible romance. what more is necessary?

    12. A very good book actually! Sexual, what else, very twisty, and the story and how it is written just makes you want to turn the page. I liked how the author was able to hide who the killer is up until the last chapter. It kept me wondering who Romeo is.

    13. His victims were San Francisco's most invulnerabe women professional, beautiful, smart. but Sarah doesn't know what Romeo learned a long time ago. No one can protect a woman from herself. A great story. You will love it.

    14. This is 50 Shades of Grey without the publicity and with much better writing. Somewhat predictable but still a good read.

    15. Ällöttävän raaka, mutta ovelasti punottu, juoni, en arvannut murhaajaa vasta kuin puoli sivua ennen paljastumista!

    16. I could go as high as three and a half stars. Well written, but the serial killer genre is typically not my preferred reading.

    17. This book was good until I got to the part about incest and I just wanted to stop reading it. The only reason I kept was to learn who Romeo was.

    18. This was the first thriller that I read and it was awesome. It can be a little vivid in some parts but very good for recreational reading.

    19. One of the better books that I have read. Suspensful. Many twists and turns. This had me up late at night I couldn't put it down.
