    1. I really enjoy books with a western theme so this was right up my alley! I loved how Maddie embraced her new life with a passion and was grateful for it. There's something very appealing about a cowboy and a man who knows what he wants. This story was a pleasure to read!

    2. I totally enjoyed reading this book and you should go get yourself a copy because I am off to get the next book in the series ! Thanks Debra Clopton for creating New Horizon Ranch: Mule Hollow series ! The thing that will be spoiled is you will miss out if you don't start reading this series. and the subseries. :-)Loved Maddie spunkiness, courage in life. Cliff cowboy strength and heart. Enjoyed the humor, suspense and the matchmakers of Mule Hollow involvement.

    3. I want to cry. This book is so bad I want to cry. Have I become a misogynistic pig just by reading this?Cliff needs to get crushed by Buford the bull please and stop treating Maddie like a damsel in distress just because 'bull riding is dangerous for women'.Maddie needs to get that heart checked because damn does that pulse fluctuate 475727 times a page. The author needs to write something good and needs to embrace the fact that all this book does is reinforce gender roles into society. It's bad g [...]

    4. This was a cute sweet fun novella to read about Cliff that fell hard for Maddie, and was able to move past all her walls in short order. This was a hard read for me in some aspects it felt repetitive and yet in other aspects the story moved along to fast and could have used expansion. Overall it had lots of potential and was a fun read.

    5. The story itself had a lot of potential. I really liked Maddie and Cliff both. The author did a good job of portraying their attraction to each other as well as what was going on around them. I found myself enjoying the town she'd created and all of the difference characters that came into play throughout the book. She did a good job of creating a world from which she can draw for many additions to the series. I did feel she rushed the story. I wanted to see Maddie's interactions with her partne [...]

    6. This is a sweet and simple tale of new love, old fears and two people trying awfully hard to do the right thing. Maddie is a stong-willed, stubborn, feisty heroine. Coming from a past that was not so kind, Maddie is co-owner of a TX ranch and doing her very best to make it in a man's world. Cliff Masterson is a championship bull rider. Taking 'no' for an answer is not his specialty. Maddie and Cliff struggle individually and together with issues that are touching and tough. Thinking it might be [...]

    7. "Her Texas Cowboy" is the revised version and formerly titled "Her Mule Hollow Cowboy" by Debra Clopton. It is also book 1 of the New Horizon Ranch series. As of August 15, 2016-there are currently 8 books to this series. I have read a couple books by this author and have absolutely loved them! Who doesn't like reading clean romances about handsome cowboys??!! I was able to buy this ebook for free from . It's a great way to get started with a new series. Maddie Rose, a spunky cowgirl, decides to [...]

    8. I didn't realize this was a novella going in, so I was a little surprised by how quickly everything happened. I thought it was a cute read although a tad repetitive at times. Cliff was a likable character, I kept picturing the guy from the movie The Longest Ride, since he was a bull rider also. I liked how he saw through Maddie's walls and was willing to push his way into her heart. Maddie was likable and finally at a point in her life were she is ready to take some chances. I thought they were [...]

    9. Title: Her Mule Hollow CowboyAuthor: Debra CloptonPublisher: D.C.P.P.Series: New Horizon Ranch: Mule Hollow # 1Reviewed By: Arlena DeanRating: FiveReview:"Her Mule Hollow Cowboy" by Debra CloptonMy ThoughtsThis was a wonderfully written sweet contemporary romantic quick read. The author does a good job at keeping the readers attention because one will not want to put it down until the end. I loved how these two Maddie and Cliff were brought come together. With Maddie getting adjusted to his new [...]

    10. A contemporary western novella, this story is very sweet. I really enjoyed watching the relationship develop between Cliff and Maddie. There is so much for Maddie to overcome in order to learn to trust and let herself take a chance on love. Watching her emotional growth through the story and Cliff’s patience with her is very sweet.

    11. This was a good "get away" story. A short romance which was predicable but if you like westerns and horses, this is a good one to read. I liked it.d there are many more from this author to read about the other characters in the book. So once you start, the story will lead to another story and another one until you read all of them.

    12. Good readEnjoyable characters in believable plots but with great outcomes. Off to get book two now. Quick easy reading was here.

    13. I enjoyed the story because of its western setting. I have always enjoyed westerns, and this glimpse of professional bull riding and ranching made for a great story.Maddie had been so sad all of her life, looking for something she thought she would never find. Abandoned as a child with no memories of a family of her own, she resists the very thing she wants most for fear of being hurt again. Finally having her dreams fulfilled through Cliff's love and their mutual faith made for a sweet, refresh [...]

    14. A nice, sweet romance between a bull rider, Clint, who is wanting to change his life, and Maddie, part owner of a ranch with 4 cowboys. Maddie has trouble trusting and opening her life to others because she was abandoned as a very young baby, and grew up in an orphanage and in foster homes without any loveWhen Cliff comes to the ranch, it is love at first sight for him when he rescues Maddie. He wants to care for and protect her, but he has his work cut out for him. Maddie is very independent an [...]

    15. Disappointing, but still sweetThis novella ends at 67%, followed by excerpts of other books in the series and sales pitches. That disappointed me. I won't regurgitate the plot, but here's my evaluation.Pros:- Clean editing. Very few grammatical errors. Overall, the book is well-written.- Steady, smooth pacing isn't marred by information dumps or pervasive passive voice.- Maddie's partners are portrayed as decent men, not womanizing, arrogant jerks.- Although a Christian romance, the reader isn't [...]

    16. This is the first book in the New Horizon Ranch series (previously titled Her Mule Hollow Cowboy). Cliff shows up just in time to help Maddie. The attraction is undeniable, although Maddie does not want to get involved. She believes Cliff will be just like everyone else who left her. Cliff is determined to win her heart. This was a great story, and I really loved it. I highly recommend it! I can't wait to read the rest in the series.

    17. Finally Trust.Loved how Ms Clopton wrote about finding love and trusting your heart to help show you true love. Cliff was attracted to Maddie when he first saw her trying to show her independence. Maddie having been abandoned at birth did not trust her heart to anyone. Cliff succeeded at convincing her that he was her true love by showing her his determination to love her. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a clean true romance story.

    18. Ugh. More ebook filled with unneeded crap to pad the download. The story was OK. Just your basic cowboy romance, with no bedroom activities. Just kisses. At 66% the titled story ends and the rest of the downloaded eBook is filled with excerpts from the other books in the series and filled with teaser bits of the author's other work.

    19. Heartwarming Clean RomanceThis is a wonderfully heart warming romance featuring modern day Texas cattle ranchers. The characters are deep with real emotion. The plot is good and believable. It is a ‘love mending broken hearts’ done with realism. It makes me want to read more of the series. While this story has a lead in to the next of the series, it is not a cliffhanger.

    20. The promise of love. The promise of love is every girls dream. This book hand me from the get go. Did not want to put it down. Can't wait to read the next one in this collection. Needs to be a bit longer for my liking, but over all goodeds more description of the area with more ties to the area.

    21. Fear of LoveMaddie Rose was abandoned at birth and raised in orphanage. Later she was in foster homes but never had a family or love in her life. When Cliff comes into her life she is afraid to open her heart to love. Soon he discovers her secret and tells her he loves her forever. Can she love him? Only trouble is story is too short. That's why I gave it only 3 stars.

    22. Exciting readThis is a wonderful book that allows you into the life of a foster child. It helps you to understand how little hope they have for a future family yet they dream of having just that. Deep feelings and doubts was away when you allow God to control the outcome and not yourself.

    23. Nothing special. If everyone didn't read these books, and others like them, maybe the authors would come up with characters that Didn't have hang-ups of some sort. Just two emotionally healthy people falling in love. /

    24. refreshing read!! ,Wonderful to read a book that has morals and Christian based. I intend to read all of this Mule Hollow books. They hold your interest and make you wonder if the bull rider champ rode his last bull for for the 8 seconds.

    25. Fun readAn expected, but fun plot. I love books set in Texas. And I love stories where the main characters have to overcome their painful past to appreciate the love that’s come their way.

    26. I've read many Debra Clopton books, but I have to say this one desperately needed editing. Punctuation was missing, poor sentence structure. The story itself was decent but the bad grammar made it distracting.

    27. Cowgirl meets bull rider and sparks fly. It’s a sweet quick read with a HEA and you actually want to read more about the couple and the other partners at the ranch where Maddie works. I do believe I will have to check out the other books in the series.

    28. Sweet storyThis was short & sweet. I was expecting at least one steamy scene, but that's okay. I gave this only three stars because there were several errors and they bother me when I read.
