    1. 4 Rough love Stars *Some Spoilers below*“I tried to save you. Whitney has my profile too. He knows me inside, where no one else does, and he thought it would be fun to pair you with the devil.”I really enjoyed Deadly Game. It is a great read, but I want to give a heads up to some things that might be hard to read. The heroine has been raped repeated in the past and beat. The book doesn't go into great detail about the rapes or beatings but there is talk of it. Also she is almost raped in thi [...]

    2. Reread in August 2016I was trying to go slowly to let my sister catch up, since we're supposed to be doing a buddy read, but I could not help myself! I adore Ken and Mari as a couple. They are still my favorite. There is something so classic about their love story. Ken is really the wounded beast, and Mari is his beauty, but the storyline is updated and so very fitted to the GhostWalkers storyline. I will be honest and admit I wanted to start over and read this again right after I finished! This [...]

    3. I was so excited to read Ken's book. I do not know what I expected but this was not it. There is nothing overtly wrong with the book, hence the mediocre rating, but it just did not work for me. There was none of the camaraderie and humor that was found in the previous book. It is a very violent book. Rarely have I read so much violence against the heroine in a "romance" book. Ken was too whiny and insecure. He did not end up being even half as compelling to me as his brother Jack. I liked Ken, b [...]

    4. This was another great story in the GhostWalkers series! I was really looking forward to reading this book since I finished Conspiracy Game, but some reviews warned me it wasn't going to be a "comfortable" read so I waited until I was in the right mood. I'm glad I did, because there are some very "disturbing" torture scenes in this book. Thankfully, forewarned is forearmed. :)Ken Norton is a deadly sniper, member of the elite Ghostwalkers, and a very, very dark and tortured hero. He has scars al [...]

    5. Deadly Game is the Ghostwalker story about Ken and Mari. Ken is a very deep, dark character that is suffocating from a huge burden from his past. His father killed his mother out of jealous rage and then attempted to kill Ken and his twin brother Jack. Growing up with serious issues, Ken and Jack joined the Special Ops team as two elite snipers.Being physically as well as psychically enhanced, the Norton brothers are a force all their own. Whitney, the evil little dweeb of a scientist who appare [...]

    6. 5++++ stars Wow - Wow - Wow !!!! I love Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker Series!!!This 5th book tells the story of Ken Norton and Marigold "Mari" Smith and I.LOVED!! A little darker than the previous books, intensely emotional, hot, hot, steamy with a hero and heroine I love and a story that kept me on the edge and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough!!!

    7. Re-read via audiobook. Hmm, didn't like this as much the second time around. I know this is nit-picky, but I stop and start the audiobook throughout the day and the sex scenes just went on and on. This should be a good thing but it wasn't for me. Also, I think they're making a mistake using the same narrator throughout the series. That's fine if it's the same hero and heroine but these are different people each book but sound almost exactly the same (unless they're southern), that's the only dif [...]

    8. "4 Stars!!"“Mari, honey, you have to be sure.” His voice was hoarse. “I’m not going to be able to stop in another minute. I don’t have a damn thing to use as protection and this is bullshit, taking you here. I’m not going to be gentle and loving like you deserve. And I don’t want to hurt you. I’m so damned afraid of hurting you, but I sear I’ll give you more pleasure than you’ve ever had in your life. If you cant’ do this with me, go all the way, take everything I need to g [...]

    9. Just when you think it can't get any better with Jack comes his twin, Ken and we're beggin for more againOMG *thud*will be back to write when I can compose myself and after I get a cold showericy coldeezingK, out of the cold shower. When I read the previous book about Jack, I thought he was the toughest one, the most diabolical, the most tortured, the most lethal, the most uncaringuntil he met his destined, then he turned into a big ol' teddybear.Ken, his twin, is all those things that his broth [...]

    10. DNF. Too much internal conflict and pondering. Not enough external action happening.I read 49% of the book. Here is the first scene which is good. Ken and his brother Jack are outside guarding a home. Some military guys arrive. Ken and Jack shoot and wound one of them. The others leave. Ken and Jack realize the wounded guy is Mari the long lost sister of Jack’s wife. The first half of the book:(view spoiler)[They take Mari to a medical facility to treat her wounds. She tries to escape once, but [...]

    11. This was definitely more darker than the previous books and it was very emotional. There was the occurrence of much darker themes and subject matters in this book. Both Ken and Mari have lived through and survived hell from their pasts and that's one of the reasons why they are so perfect for each other. They are both fierce and lethal soldiers, and they are fighters and survivors. They may not underestimate themselves when in the battle field or when in danger of losing their lives, but they und [...]

    12. This was a continuation from book 4, Conspiracy Game, where Ken Norton had been set up to be kidnapped in Columbia. In that book, we found out that the "dead" Dr. Whitney set it up to draw twins Jack and Ken out and set them up with breeding mates. In this book, it's Jack's turn to support his twin Ken as Ken goes to rescue Marigold (Brionne's sister).I think book marks a turning point in the Ghostwalkers on going battle with the mad scientist Dr. Whitney because here we get irrefutable proof tha [...]

    13. This was my least favorite of the series so far. It had a fascinating premise, as Ken, one of a pair of twin snipers, is captured and tortured in a particularly horrific way. His relationship with his twin was by far the best part of the story; I loved it when he brought his unconscious twin to safety first and worried about a pregnant Lily second. And I loved how he was emotionally tortured by his childhood, and how his fear that he was no better than his father threatened to overpower him. Unf [...]

    15. Book #5 in the Ghostwalker series and I wish that Ken Norton had a better story. This was a sad and depressing book; too dark for me to really like.

    16. Sigh. I love to be pleasantly surprised. After reading Conspiracy Game I didn’t think I’d enjoy Ken’s story as much as I did. But I was wrong. Spoliers ahead everyone, read at thy own risk.Ken is definitely the grittier, more haunted twin. He’s suffered more because he was brutally tortured and has scars literally crisscrossing his entire body. He’s physically ruined that way. Everything works, but his scars are the kind that make people stare and then look away in horror. I really fel [...]

    17. Ken and his twin brother Jack are on a mission to protect a politician when they come under attack from what is clearly another group of GhostWalkers. Determined to carry out their job Ken shoots the sniper from the other team but is surprised to find he didn't make a successful kill. When they discover the sniper is Mari (the twin sister of Jack's wife Briony) they capture her and take them with her. While Ken and Jack try to discover if Mari is working for the enemy Mari is desperately trying [...]

    18. “Deadly Game” is book 5 in Christine Feehan’s Ghostwalker series. And it’s one of my favorites. Our hero is Ken Norton, Navy SEAL. He, like his twin Jack, is a Ghostwalker, a soldier who volunteered to be physically and psychically enhanced. Ken has endured a great deal. He was kidnapped and tortured at the hands of an evil general in the Congo. He is terribly scarred all over his body and he thinks he is dead inside. He only cares for Jack and his sister-in-law Briony. He is on a mission [...]

    19. I enjoyed this book because we were so familar with Ken having spent quite a bit of time with him last book. This book seemed to deal more with the relationship between him and Mari and not so much with the usual good vs. evil battle that is in all the books. Part of that I think is because both Ken and Mari had a lot of inner battles to get through to get their HEA. This book also brought back Peter Whitney who we now know is alive and even more henious than we thought. The despicable things th [...]

    20. I love the Games series but this was not one of Ms. Feehan's best books. I didn't feel like the characters really connected well which is usually one of her strong points. I didn't enjoy the rough play that was throughout the book even though I understood why. I feel like if the Ghostwalkers are that superior then they should have already figured this all out. Ms. Feehan just keeps giving them more and more and more super powers that I'm not sure are helping the believablity of this series. I lo [...]

    21. I like this more than Conspiracy Game which was about Jack, Ken's twin brother. I found Ken's book grittier, as it should be, considering the plot and the heroine, Mari, was more suited to a book like this than Briony. I tend to like my romantic action books filled with action, violence, hot sex and the romance AND the women should not get in the way. The heroines need to know how to pull the trigger without hesitating (they can fall apart when I close the book) and not be in the book simply to [...]

    22. Another awesome book in the GhostWalker series. I was really glad to feel the connection between Ken and Mari. Both deserved to be happy. The action was perfect, whether fighting or in bed, and the characters really live up to the reader's expectation. 'Dr' Whitney is as much an a$$#@!& as ever. Each character has their very own personality, setting each other apart to make them unique. Feehan has a way with words; you see the setting through the characters' eyes, feel their emotions as if t [...]

    23. Even if Ken is the scarred one, the one who endured torture, Mari is my favourite hero of this story. She's kind, she's strong, she's willing to sacrifice herself for people whom she considered her sisters, in the sadic hands of that bas*tard Whiney (I was so enraged by the cruelty of this man I had to write to Lady Danielle and ask her about Whitney death! LOL). And not only Whiteny but his enhanced soldiers, reduced to rapist thanks to Dr. Whitney and his experiments, are torturers of the poor [...]

    24. Let me begin by saying that I am a huge Christine Feehan fan, I will read anything written by her. I have read 6 out of the 9 books and I loved all 6 as her heros are amazing and have everything I want in a hero. But this book.ere was just toooooooo much information that you had to go back to read the dialog again to remember what was being said. This put me of the book as I do not have the patience to read a novel this way. I got to page 77 and had to stop there was just way too much in between [...]

    25. Well, I wanted to give it more than 3 stars but I got tired of Ken bemoaning what an unlovable man he is - and Mari angsting about actually liking a man, and liking sex with him,and being fascinated with the scars, and then the sex scenes that went on forever. Oh, well, there was a HFN, and I am wrung out now and looking for something a little bit more cheerful before I tackle the next book in the series.

    26. This is probably my least favorite in the series. Much of the book is a repeat of the previous story. Ken deserves more than a re-hash of his brothers' issues. I did love that he and Meri get together and I love the fact that Meri is a soldier and can handle herself. But then this book goes all over the place. The overall plot is good if slow moving and leaves lots of room for the books to come.

    27. This is the fifth book in the GhostWalkers series. I really liked that Mari was such a strong, independent character. Normally, the female characters are more vulnerable than she was in this book. This book had all of the elements I was looking for -- lots of steaminess between Ken and Mari, lots of action, and more development of the ongoing GhostWalkers plot and the Dr. Whitney character. If you liked the other GhostWalker books, particularly #4 (Conspiracy Game), you will love this one.
