    1. This was a good follow up to this author's first book, The Founders Gifts, and it also stood well on its own. I appreciated getting to know minor characters from book 1 as main characters in this book. I think that's one thing this author is really good at--character development. There were some good twists in turns in Jaguarundi, and I was able to read the book quickly. A lot of sequels can get bogged down with information from the first book for new readers, and this book did not do that; ther [...]

    2. Drayton Alan has done it again! This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Just when you think you have the plot figured out, it is completely flips! I think this was an excellent addition to the series. You follow the main characters from the first book as they not only try to and run a country efficiently but navigate their own personal struggles. There are a few new characters introduced that play an integral part in keeping Adriana and Dalt not only sane but alive. I would high [...]

    3. Sci-fi is a very hard genre to do. You have to balance between keeping a story, explaining how all the futuristic technology works, and concluding with an ending that makes sense. This is a novel that manages to do just that and more. The story is quite engaging, the technology is explained in a way that average technology enthusiasts would appreciate, and the ending leaves you wanting more. It's one of the better sci-fi novels I have read. Definitely worth the purchase.

    4. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. On a planet similar to Earth, colonized by humans after Earth became inhabitable, there are 2 factions: those who resent technology and want it banished, and those who would use technology to benefit human kind. Both views have pros and cons and we get to enjoy the argument in a landscape filled with mutant jaguars, bears and snakes, princes with magical nano-swords, AIs caught in quantum bubbles and evil priests.
