    1. Loved it. Eva and Zoe setting up house in Australia. Plenty of good feels to be had, as well as a few surprises. Heading on to book 3.

    2. Second book in the series and a lot better than the first one. The story started off almost right after the first book, where Eva and Zoe escaped the war torn Greece which is at the blink of a civil war, and to Australia in starting their new life. Although there is still a bit too much "coincidence" in my opinion with Henry, Muller, Rhimes, Father H and Greta, I like that the story is realistic about lives moving to a new country - and not everything is good and rosy as everyone thinks. Love th [...]

    3. I am thoroughly enjoying this series. The second book leaves us with a sense of happiness for Zoe and Eva after having struggled with the lost of family and friends back in Greece. They are now settled in Australia and the book takes a turn at tackling not just the after effects of war but the prejudices and discrimination that is, sadly, the weakness of human behaviour. Zoe and Eva along with the friends that they are meeting are engaging and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

    4. Intense historical storyI did not read the first in this series and after reading this one, not sure I could. Especially if the story describes what Eva was put through. But I did not need to read that one for this one. Very glad I read this one. I may read the others in the series, not sure yet. But if you want an intense and historical story, read this.

    5. Milk & Honey – A review of the novel ‘Where Shadows Linger’“Love is an act of endless forgiveness; a tender look which becomes a habit.” - Peter UstinovAuthor Mary D. Brooks’s novel ‘Where Shadows Linger’ is the second book in the Intertwined Souls series of books. It’s a continuation of Eva & Zoe’s adventures in Australia leaving the turmoil of the Second World War behind. Although this new land offers them many opportunities to follow their dreams, they face numerou [...]

    6. Where Shadows Linger (Intertwined Soul Series Book 2) -- Mary D. Brooks (66+ chapters)OK. I had started this review as I had started reading the book. And my first thoughts were this: meh. This was not as strong a book was the first one. There was too much of an emphasis on the loving and not the substances of a real plot here. It was like giving “fans” what was thought they wanted, without giving fans what they really wanted. I got tired quickly of this pandering. I really wanted this book t [...]

    7. I was given a free copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the second in Brooks’ Intertwined Souls series. The two main characters, Zoe and Eva, are still in this book, but it’s now 1947 and they’ve made it to the Land of Milk and Honey, Australia. As with books set in Massachusetts or Maine, USA, I’m also a sucker for books set in Australia or New Zealand, so I was very excited to read it for that reason as well. It’s the story of Zoe and Eva getting se [...]

    8. This book was truly fantastic and had my attention from the very first page. I read book 1 and absolutely loved it, so I knew that I would just have to read book 2. I haven't read many lesbian romance series, but this is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. I appreciate the genre and hope to read more from this author. I enjoyed how historical this novel was and how it followed these 2 lovers as they migrated their way through their dreams. Eva and Zoe have survived one of the [...]

    9. This is the story of Eva and Zoe, situated in Australia in aftermath of WW2.Eva is a German, victim of terrible diversion therapy performed by his stepfather's brother. And the reason for this therapy was her sexual orientation, because nothing could disgust and make her Nazi stepfather more angry than Eva being a lesbian. And rather than letting her go or disowning her, he keeps punishing her and making her life hell, especially after her mother dies.Zoe is a Greek, first hired to help Eva when [...]

    10. 11. Truly Original Historical Lesbian RomanceWhere Shadows Linger is an amazingly original love story set in Australia. Think Brokeback Mountain with women set in the Australian Outback. Moving, loving, and touching; the author has done an amazing job with her storyline and the development of her characters. Eva and Zoe are beautifully described and are real characters readers will connect with. Truly enjoyable loving read. Highly Recommended!!!

    12. I enjoyed this book very muchI love historical lesbian stories. This one in particular was insightful from a worldview. I read this without reading the first one and it defiantly made me want to read the first and the rest in the series. I am really curious about the rest of Zoe and Eva's story.

    13. Where Shadows Linger follows our 2 favorite girls as they build their lives in Australia. We learn more about Eva and Zoe as the past comes back to haunt them. As Mary D always seems to do, she will have you laughing, crying and down right angry. Follow Eva and Zoe as they discover more about their past and continue to build for their future.

    14. The second novel in the Intertwined Souls series. Mind-blowing story line about love, and hope, and courage. I'm in love with Eva and with Zoe
