    1. The series gets better with each book. If you are looking for a story with a strong hurt comfort theme this one is right for you. It is written with a dual POV, so the reader gets a chance to really feel. The overall feeling is similar to the first book but since this one is a lot longer you have a chance to really connect with the people and get to know them. The supporting cast is great.     6. Man, there was constant angst in this book. To be honest, I didn't love either of the MCs. Shane was a turd to his friends and Savannah was just too damaged. Also, there was OW drama that I just hate. I found it ridiculous that (view spoiler)[Shane acted like he was hooked on heroin, but he only did it once when he was 16.     7. Working my way through all of Sloane's books since I started the Protector's series and I promised myself I'd read them in the order she recommends. Unfortunately, this one was MF and I just couldn't get into any of the sex scenes. No doubt they were good, and the story was very emotional and realistic, however, Shane was just too much into self-inflicted angst to appeal to me.There's a nice HEA for the couple, but I'm happy to move on to the next book, which is MM, thankfully. **3.5 stars**

    9. I'm a huge Sloane Kennedy fan and I LOVED "Logan's Need". I also have been reading predominantly M/M books lately and skipped "Gabriel's Rule" and "Shane's Fall" in the Escort Series. I have to say that was a grave injustice on my part because these books were fantastic. The love, passion and story just overwhelm you and the characters are so beautifully done, that I am really glad I gave them a chance.

Again two main characters with horrible baggage, Shane and Savannah, fight through their ghosts in order to be able to let others in and find love. The story is well written and the reader once again feels the emotional commitment to these people. And again the author lies the groundwork for the next book though unless you've read the descriptions ahead of time you wouldn't know it.

Dark but powerfulAfter reading quite a few of this authors works I have learned that all of them contain some pretty dark elements but something about Shane and Savannah's story seems even more powerful than some of the others. They are both so damaged but yet so strong. I usually avoid stories with rape and drug abuse because they often leave me feeling sad, but that is not the case with Sloane Kennedy.     19. Shane and Savannah's story.The first book was Gave and Riley's story and it was good. Shane and Savannah looked like a tragedy just waiting to strike. Savannah is Logan's younger sister who is Gave and Shane's best friend. Logan took care of her when their parents died when she was 15 and Logan was 18. Savannah was brutally raped at 17 and kept it from everybody. She freaks out all the time around guys. She decides to turn to Shane to help her get pass all this. These are pretty addictive (I've been reading steadily for a couple of hours and I finished this series and am ready to start the next). I started with the Protector series and when I got to book 4 I realized that this series and the Barretti series came first so being anal I had to buy all of these and start with them before I get back to the Protectors book 4. This series is great but your really need to start with book one to follow things that happen in book 2. I am looking forward to reading book 3 and then starting on the Barretti series.

I could not put it down and proceeded to stay up until 2am to finish itI read the Finding Series first and although I figured out it the characters were connected to a prior series I had no problem following it and it was awesome. I started reading this series in order to get the back story on Book 3, even though you don't need to read them in order. I'm so glad I did. Even though it's a continuing ongoing storyline, each book can be read as a standalone. There is a HEA for each couple. 4.5

    27. 3.5 ~ Same premise as the first book, damaged people finding their way together. Not a lot of suspense. Pretty easy to figure out who done it, but am good read all the same.
