    1. The story of Gray, Lyon, and Ur is always one that tears at your heart! looking forward to the next volume!

    2. I can no longer think of this series or each volume in terms of "good" or "bad", for the work of Hiro Mashima has transcended any and all labels that could possibly be comprehended by the human psyche. By which I mean ayy lmao this is a series you just gotta read for fun, man. And that's what I'm doing, I'm having a good time reading through this series. It helps a lot that these are supersonically fast reads, consistently clocking in at 1 hour and 30 minutes, even when I really take my time and [...]

    3. I'm only just at book 5 and I'm already crying. What is this?? (view spoiler)[Grey's and Leon's relationship with Ur was so well depicted in a such short amount of pages. And the fact that she sacrificed herself, it was just so beautiful and heartbreaking. It was enough to make me feel ALL THE FEELS. (hide spoiler)]

    4. This is the first volume with any kind of backstory for one of the characters (and it's - kind of oddly imo - for a side character). I'm normally a sucker for the flashback trope, but this didn't really do it for me. After five volumes, I just don't think this title is for me.

    6. I chose this book because I have watched the rest of the series and I had to just read this book. My favorite character in this book is Natsue dragneal, I chose him because he is the one and only firer breathing dragon slayer. In this book I like the part when they are on the secret island and them and locus have a battle and Natsue eats the blue crystals to save ersa because she was gonna die because the crystal was draining her power. I also like the part when Natsue uses the power agents locu [...]

    7. What I like the most about the actual manga? I feel like it's more realistic than the anime. For example, there's more blood, whereas in the anime there's almost nothing like that. Nevertheless I'm still enjoying it as much as I enjoyed the anime.-This is until chapter 40

    8. [4.5 Stars] Not gonna lie. Ur got me a little emotional. I knew what was happening because I've seen the anime for the first season and a half, but still. So great.

    9. The investigation into Galuna Island's problems heats up as the bad wizards attack the only village on the island. Fairy Tail wizards Gray and Lucy are there to save the townsfolk if not the town from an acid attack by the bad guys. Meanwhile, the other Fairy Tail wizards are investigating the weird rituals in an old temple on the island. The battles are fast and exciting, showing creativity and comedy in equal measure. To make things more complicated, Fairy Tail's Erza shows up to bring back th [...]

    10. The arc of the horrific, demonic island dwellers continues, with flashbacks from Gray's past, which feel a bit rushed because they have to be fit in among all the running and fighting! Hiro Mashima mentions a few times, I think, that he doesn't plan his series very well in advance, but makes them up as he goes along. "Fairy Tail" is still pretty good despite that, but I did get the feeling that there were some things he would have foreshadowed or mentioned or hinted at before this volume, so rev [...]

    11. While the gang struggles on their S-Class quest, Erza decides to follow them to bring them back and punish them for breaching Fairy Tail protocol. They realize they are up against other powerful wizards and could use Erza's help. Meanwhile, things get tense between Gray and his former friend Reitei Lyon. If you can get past the sexism, these are pretty funny and inventive stories.

    12. Some spoilers ahead. While I am slightly mad that Lyon stabbed Gray, I am still hoping that Gray can break through to Lyon. Although it would be way cooler if Ur came back to life from the ice melting off of Deliora. That way she can prove to Lyon that his dream is stupid. I still hold hope for the next volume.

    13. I really enjoyed revisiting this world. One of my favorite parts of this volume is learning about Ur. I really enjoy Mashima's writing and hope to be getting more of his works soon.

    14. So this one mainly features Gray's backstory, but it also shows how Lucy and Natsu can use their brains in their fights.

    16. Having been defeated and scattered at the end of the fourth volume, the Fairy Tail wizards regroup and try to plan their next step. Unfortunately, another variable enters the situation that might change everything - especially for the fairy tail members.(view spoiler)[We start with some one-on-one fights. The minions here are kind of useless. there's a guy who can use magic-cancelling magic, a guy with poison claws and a woman who can control any non-human thing. Of the three, the latter is poss [...]

    17. My review is for the whole manga so far (50 volumes). Fairy Tail is set in a fantasy world where wizards join guilds to make a living, and help the population who have no magic and cannot face certain threats. Lucy is such a wizard looking for a guild, and after meeting Natsu she joins his guild Fairy Tail. I watched the anime first and I prefer the anime look, but the drawings do get better after some volumes. The regions do look pretty, and the cities as well. The manga is packed with humor an [...]

    18. Tomo #5 .

    19. Still continuing with the Galuna Island Arc and starting on Chapter 31: Fearful Poison Poison Jelly.Lucy is left to protect the village, and the only thing she can think of is have her Celestial Spirit Virgo dig some pitfall traps. Much to the scorn of the spectators, which Natsu automatically falls into dislodging the ice that has encased him. Then the puppet mistress Sherry shows up flying with her giant rat Angelica dumping poison. Natsu spreads his brilliant flames larger than he has to the [...]
